HEC online degree attestation: what changed in May 2026
On 11 May 2026 HEC began a fully online, paperless Degree Attestation System. Applications are made through the HEC e-Services portal 24/7, and attested documents are issued electronically.
Fee and payment
The fee is Rs 3,000 per document. Payment generates a consumer number, which you pay through online banking, then verify in your account. A wrong document selection is not refunded or transferred.
What to do
- Create or log in to your HEC e-Services account.
- Upload clear scans of the degree, transcripts and your CNIC.
- Pay the fee and click Verify Payment.
- Download the attested certificate when it is issued.
Watch out
Only use the official HEC portal. Fake attestation websites and agents who ask for your original degree are a common scam. See the full documents guide.
